Takla was established in 1996 and was the first aftermarket protective seat cover manufacturer in South Africa. Takla distributes through more than 600 distributors and are ISO 9001 certified, thus ensuring international quality standards for their products.

Their range of products includes seat covers, floormats and loadliners for most vehicle manufacturer makes on the market, and if they don’t have it in their system they will trace the patterns from your seats and custom make them for you.

Takla is manufactured from 100% synthetic material and are fully waterproof, not just water resistant and comes with a lifetime warranty (except for the Durotech range)  – so long as the kids don’t try to cut or set fire to them.

Takla seat covers will ensure your original OME upholstery will remain intact through your vehicles life-span, eliminating downtime and preserving your re-sale value (I can confirm this last statement as I sold my Ford Ranger after 8 years with my seats looking almost brand new.)

The seat cover also addresses drivers comfort issues such as perspiration which is common with vinyl based products and hygiene that is addressed through the short term two-pack cleaning detergent and rejuvenator and on the long term the machine and had wash options.

Personal note

I know Takla for a very long time and their products are of a very high standard.

I personally had Takla seat covers in my Ford Ranger, and took them off when selling the vehicle. The seats was not abraded, nor damaged and looked almost new. The seat cover them self was a bit faded, but I sold them, knowing that the new owner can still claim them, if needed them under their lifetime guarantee.

My new vehicle again sports Takla seat covers, but I added the full set of Takmats covering the floor and foot wells.

I have also experience with the Takla Air jacks, as I have trained an International mine groups exploration staff on them. The positive feedback coming from these guys where they sometimes have to work in knee deep mud, is awesome.
